Believe Impossible Things

For today’s post, I just wanted to bring something to the general blogosphere’s attention:

Yep. The Re-invention of Instant film.  Talk about believing in impossible things.
For those of you who don’t know, Polaroid discontinued the production of instant film in 2008, and since then a team of former Polaroid employees and sponsors have been striving to keep Polaroid Instant Cameras from becoming obsolete. The impossible proved to be possible when the team bought one of the last Polaroid factories (located in the Netherlands) complete with equipment and machinery.  Early this year, the Impossible Project introduced its first instant film- the PX Silver Shade- and just recently introduced its first PX Color Film.
It’s time to renew your love affair with analog instant photography.  How? The Impossible Project has created instant film for most of Polaroid cameras. So dig out the Spectra or Impulse or OneStep that you have in the back of your closet, buy some film and give it life!
This is truly amazing. It’s like saving a species from becoming extinct.
