There’s that To-do list again

In a few minutes, November will be over and so the last month of the year will begin. To start off right, I’ve prepared a list of things to do in December:

1. Go sledding – always #1 every single year. Yes, this is a must. It’s fun and it’s free (if you live near a slope and have a sled)
2. Go ice skating – it’s fun and cheap
3. Drink hot chocolate – whether it’s homemade or the powder kind, its up to you, this classic winter drink is sure to warm you up
4. Hang out, chill, relax, etc. – with the fall semester ending soon, of course this is what I’ll be doing the majority of the time
5. Make a scarf – why not? It’s going to get colder out!
6. Party! – celebrating the holidays, birthdays, and graduations with food and fun people is a must
7. Make baked goods – not only will you have baked goods at your disposal but turning on the oven will make your house warmer. Who wouldve thought?
8. Put up Christmas tree and decorations – now admire it from afar and start caroling.
9. Take a lot of pictures – especially of snow so I can look back at them next July when its 1789245 degress out
10. Watch A Christmas Story – do I need to explain why??

Coming up in December

Coming up in December, Bloggins will have its first Holiday Special.  I decided to make a gift guide this year featuring a gift idea everyday. Here’s the [tentative] layout:

• SUNDAY: Homemade gift (gift from the heart :))
• MONDAY: Gifts for parents/house
• TUESDAY: Gifts for the little ones
• WEDNESDAY: Gifts for music lovers (as part of Miercoles de Musica)
• THURSDAY: Gifts for Geeks
• FRIDAY: One of my favorites (as part of Friday Favorite)
• SATURDAY: Gift of the week (as part of Saturday Spotlight)

An FF for FF

I would like to dedicate this week’s Friday Favorite to FujiFilm!Thanks to their rectangular format pack film (which is still in production!!) I have been able to bring my Polaroid Super  Shooter back to life.

FujiFilm produces two types of rectangular format pack film: black & white and color film.  So far I have only used the black and white film, FP-3000b. What is so great about it is that it takes only 30 seconds to develop beautiful photos.  Did I mention the glossy finish?

So, thank you FujiFilm, for not stopping production of this great film. It’s just too bad you dont produce film that is compatible with other Polaroid films (hint hint!) 

The Musix in My Head

For today’s Music Wednesday, I’m going to let you in on the goings-on of inside my head. I currently have The Peacocks’ “I Can Do a Lot For My Size” on repeat in my head.  I thought you might like to hear what it sounds like (and was hoping to get it stuck in your head too). It’s an old song, I know, but for me beats never get old.

What’s up? Look up!

This just in!

If you know me, then you know I’m a huge science nerd, especially when it comes to chemistry, astronomy or physics. So you can bet today’s post is in that general category (if you know you and science are like two positively charged ions and just dont get along, this is your cue to exit the browser, change tabs, turn around walk away).

So for all science buffs and star gazers who missed the Perseid meteor shower a couple of weeks ago, fret no more. You have a second chance at seeing meteors THIS WEEK. The Orionids will be visiting our skies every day until October 25th (I know its almost over, my apologies).

NEW from The Impossible Project

The Impossible Project plans to release its new color film for the Polaroid SX-70 camera models.  The new Color Shade will an advanced version of the Color Shade First Flush and is due to be released sometime in Autumn 2010. Keep an eye out!
